A strong Martlets team met on a sunny late September morning to confront the consistently tough Piltdown members on their home course. The morning was very finely balanced at 3 points all with very favourable comments at lunch about the condition of the course after the club’s considerable programme of works to their greens. Both teams lunched well as the overall halved afternoon matches confirmed to leave the Martlets finally achieving parity with the club after many years of resounding losses.
