The Martlets scored what looked like a reasonable total of 231-9 off 44 overs in what was a 2pm start. Both James Newman and Raj Chaudhuri batted beautifully and were the backbone of the innings on a very flat wicket. The Horsham side, which was made up of 4 overseas players from other local clubs, quickly made the Martlets score appear very under par, knocking the runs off in 29 overs with T Muller (78 not out) and K.Leverock (100 not out) looking very impressive. Horsham CC won by 9 wickets.
