Christ’s Hospital 137 Miles Quest 4-17

Due to the unfortunate break down of 2 of our top batters, SM had to re-organise allowing S.Carter & S.Ritchie to put on an excellent opening stand of 46. From there wickets fell regularly to an excellent CH bowling attack and SM were struggling at 101-6. There followed a very solid partnership of 60 between Ben Ferns and Will Howard who went on to complete a superb 57 (having not played for 2 years) allowing SM to declare  at 200-9. In reply Mike Quest (an old Blue) and Sean Ashfield bowled with great control reducing CH to 47-4. All the bowlers bowled well on quite a helpful track and in holding all of our catches including a superb 1 handed effort from Ben Ferns and 2 close catches by Stuart Ritchie we bowled out CH for 137
