A 40 over match was agreed on a sporting looking wicket. The ‘Dills started very strongly with an opening partnership of 124 in 25 overs. We then took a few quick wickets but let go of the leash toward the end and they scored 235 for 8 which proved a challenging chase! They had a strong bowling line up too and we lost quick wickets from the start. Marcus Campopiano held the innings together with a responsible 65 and he was given some support by Stuart Ritchie (27) with Josh Burrows and Henry Cope trying to produce greater respectability in the closing overs but we were always behind the clock and ended up on 172 all out in the 36th over.
