From an old Martlet soldier.....
I am a very old lapsed member and played for the Martlets in the late 40's early 50's. Harold Bartlett was I think the top man at the time.
After leaving Brighton College (William Stewart) I was at RMA Sandhurst and out to Korea were I was wounded and never played for the Martlets again.
I am nearly 80 and feel so strongly that our Government is letting down our wounded servicemen and women that I have decided to make a parachute jump to raise money for Help for Heroes. The details are on my website :-

Details of recently published biography of past Sussex Martlets President

The Club is delighted to announce that Richard Montgomery has accepted our invitation to become an Honorary Sussex Martlet.
"Richard Montgomerie made his debut for Northants in 1991, establishing himself as a fine opening batsman there after his graduation from Oxford University in 1994. He made the move south to Sussex in 1999, where he has scored runs consistently and been a member of the sides which won the County Championship in 2003 and 2007 and the C&G-Championship double in 2006. He has formed an extremely reliable opening partnership with the Zimbabwean Murray Goodwin, the highlight of which was an unbeaten partnership of 372 against Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge in 2001. He retired after Sussex's third title at the end of 2007 to go into full-time teaching."
The first draft of the Club Rules were debated at the AGM on the 11th March. Amendments were suggested and a revised draft is now avilable.

Match Managers, can now download or complete online a catering and fee check list from the website. In time those that bank online can transfer money directly to The Martlets but for the time being cheques need to be sent to Richard Moore.
To make the Match Managers' job easier Mike Harrison has devised a pack that can be downloaded from the website.
The Match Managers Pack can be downloaded from the website. All the information can be completed and returned online, less the score sheet which should posted to Sandy and any cheques to Richard Moore.
