An extremely pleasing performance, particularly after the resounding thumping of 2009! The Martlets bowled and fielded superbly; Hartland and Harrison soon reduced BB to 34-3 and Lack and Allum bowled splendidly, taking full advantage of a dusty, turning Hove wicket to bowl the opposition out for 174. In reply, guests Steve Murdoch and Chris Morgans saw off a hostile opening spell to ease the Martlets to a 122-1 and the middle order reached the total with some 16 overs to spare.
