A very enjoyable game. The college recovered splendidly from 99 - 7 with B. Rooney at no 9 scoring an unexpected 100 to take St George's to 246 - 9. Patrick Goodwin was the pick of the Martlets bowlers with 4 - 40 from 15 overs and William Wingfield Digby bowled an extremely tidy spell of medium pace taking 2 - 27 from 10 overs. The Martlets made a real game of it with guest Tom Harris scoring 100 from 112 balls in the run chase, the visitors finishing on 225 - 7 from 43 overs.
